Last night I was arriving into LGW (Air Malta flight KM118) and we had a holding delay prior to landing... the pilot announced that it was some sort of issue with the Runway ILS system. Does anyone have any more information?

The actual approach/landing itself seemed unusually bumpy and there were lots of maintenance(?) vehicles with yellow flashing lights waiting alongside the runway...

Anybody know anything?

(By the way, "last night" refers to FRI 6th AUG!)
