I just got thinking about what ended up happening to all those who flew the Avros after ZW went all CRJ. Did they just tell them to get certified on CRJs and to take a pay cut, or did they retire all of them and bring in a fresh crop of new hires at a lower rates, or what?

Quoting TOLtommy (Reply 1): I don't know what the pay rates were in their contract at the time the Avro's were parked, but it's pretty likely the pilots moved over to the CRJ.
I believe that's what happened. I think I saw something about Air Wisconsin increasing the BAe pilots' pay towards the end to keep them with the BAe fleet and make up for the seniority they would lose by not converting to the CRJ earlier.
Why do Aerospace Engineering students have to turn things in on time?
