Hi all
was taxiing out of hongkong the other day 10/8/2010 at 1900 hrs 9W075 TO BOM to the active runway for takeoff when i saw
a 777 of CO and DL and a 767 of DL in the CX hangar...just missed taking a photo as could not reach my camera in my carry-on and quite impossible given the herringbone pattern in 9W premiere class.
do co and dl go regularly for maintenance to hk or is this just a coincidence,,can someone in the know shed spome light on this..
and i repeat, they were not at any gate or remote parking bays which is quite normal,,they were inside the hangar(777s) and the 767 was parked just outside the hangar

Both Continental and Delta send their aircraft to HAECO for maintenance. CO send their 762s, 764s, 777s, 752s and 753s. Their 777 which night-stops here also often spend the night at HAECO for checks. Delta send their 752s, 744s and 763s and occasionally 764s here. Many of their 763s gained winglets at HAECO. Their 77L night-stopping flight can sometimes be seen down at HAECO getting attention during the night as well.

The DL752 usually stays in the US for heavy checks. Most get done in SAT. Correct on the DL767.

Quoting DALMD88 (Reply 3): The DL752 usually stays in the US for heavy checks.
The DL 757s which normally visit are the Asian based ones commonly seen operating in Japan and you are right, are not normally here for very heavy checks...just a few days.

Quoting RobK (Reply 5): The CO 777 is N78013 and is there for a heavy check according to my sources.
Is #13 next in the queue for the BF lie-flat seat as well?
