Dear Aviation Lovers,
I was at KMSY this evening, New Orleans International to view aircraft and I noticed delays around the area of the Southern US up to 2.5 hours. This was caused by the tropical storm, which in turn dumped up to 12.68 inches in my area in the last 36 hours. Houston was also greatly affected. With all this rain with the dry line over the Midwest, and all the fronts, how does this affect air traffic control, and what do you do in this situation? I also noticed that when Houston traffic control asked for a stay on flights for 15 minutes at 6:30Pm last night, traffic was backed up all the way to Atlanta. How can you combat this?
