That aircraft was originally in TWA livery when it came out of the factory at San Diego...but was held up on delivery pending financing from Howard Hughs. It was also leased later to another airline or two.

If and when this aircraft is ever put back together, it will be in the livery of NorthEast. Livery era would be around the early 60's I would imagine.

I have Convair produced films on video of this aircrafts sister ship. The films were used as sales pitches to potential customers. There are made up of color inflight shots plus landings and takeoff's

I guess that they repaint it in the livery of TWA and not in the livery of Northeast. I've read that somewhere on this page. i really hope that it will fly once again.
