Looks like usually an A319 weekdays and an E190 weekends.

Quite the jump in seats if it's normally an 319. Was there a cancellation? Not enough F seats?

PVD gets A321s from US daily, so its not that big of a deal

Its not like I actually live near PVD anymore, this username was created over 10 years ago!

I know...I also know that you always check-in on PVD threads all the time, and, you are usually the guy 'in the know' about all PVD matters

Did not know about the A321's, however

Well it will always be the "home airport" was just over there a few weeks ago

The A321 flight is the 8am CLT flight

The real recent "catch" that most people missed was the CO 764 for the New Orleans saints that came and left in the middle of the night the other week.

Did that Continental 767-400 charter fly non-stop PVD-MSY or was it headed somewhere else?

I believe the way up was a CO 753 MSY-DCA-PVD (no clue why on the DCA stop) and the return was PVD-MSY nonstop

Yes that is definitely a catch! In BOS we used to see the occasional CO 777 or 757 on divert, maybe even once a 764.

Do these charters arrive/depart from the main terminal at PVD or do they park over by general aviation off Airport Rd? Where Fedex and UPS planes park during the day.

As I understand it, the 757-300 with the N. O. Saints aboard stopped at Washington DC to meet the President en-route to Providence. A 753 at DCA, if anyone spots there, must have been a rare visitor indeed.

They usually park right near the Ops building (1930's era original airport terminal), which is on Airport Road.

My first ever flight into PVD, visiting my future college up there in 1998, was on a US 757 from PHL in the original "USAir" scheme. PVD used to see several 757's a day from US, UA, and DL back in the day.
