I remember, back in May of 1994 at EWR, I saw an MD-80 that I hadn't seenb before or since. The plane in question was an MD-80 with the title "Eagle" on it. It had the ubiquitous white fuselage. The tail was a sort of dark green with a stylized outline of an eagle on it. The "Eagle" titles were in the same color, on the fuselage above the windows on the forward quarter of the planes length.
Does anyone have any info on them? Routes, fleet, pictures, fate of that airline, etc.

No I remember them. I am trying to remember where they flew. Seems to me, and I am just going off the top of my head here, that they started out with F-27's out west somewhere because they had that exact scheme on an F-27. Then they ended up with MD-80's in the east. Let me think about this for awhile and get into my old airline junk. In the mean time maybe someone else will come up with it.

And in the year 1994 N500TR did spend a few months here in Europe while being on lease to Pegasus, a Turkish charter carrier.
During that time, the MD-82 kept its full Eagle livery but had additional large, red Pegasus titles applied.

They also did a lot of flying for Sunjet on the LGB-DFW-EWR runs. N500TR was parked at Love Field and also Ft.Worth before its Eagle days. During it's Eagle days it did many overnights at the DL terminal at DFW.
