It must just be the photo as the WT one is 35% bigger than the current one and the WT+ is 60% bigger than the current one.

It might appear so because the 2-4-2 WT+ seats are wider than the 3-3-3 WT seats, not because the screens are actually smaller.

Very nice job, simple and elegant.

The current cabin is very dated, and the soft furnishings still feature the "World Images" which was dropped from the external livery 10 years ago!

The upgrade is long overdue, but seems like they've done their homework and come up with the right products... Now if only they'd increase the pitch in World Traveller!

Space wise, what is the difference between current seat and new?
The ad does note state this.
Is it just a revamp of the existing dimensions?

Looks pretty good to me. Better than the current blue at least.

I dont know about the 744 or 763, but It is going on the 777, especially the old GMIS equipped ones, so not only will it get a new cabin, the horrid IFE system will get a total upgrade on them.

The 77Ws will have it since BA's "production video" for their first model showed the WT+ and WT cabins being installed in PAE (I guess only FIRST and Club World will be installed in Cardiff?).

No cabins are installed in PAE, the promo vid only showed the outside of the plane, not the inside, it was a mish mash of footage. All BA cabins are installed at Cardiff.

The Economy seats they showed sure looked like what is on the BA site, but maybe BA is sourcing from a supplier used by others who are using a similar covering color and they chose that footage to represent what is going in at Cardiff.

BA have actually put a notice on their website to say that the seats in the video were not theirs. The video was mix of footage of 777 construction with shots of the new BA jet

Very nice. Love the headrests and tasteful overall design.

Being a former Chicagoan, I'm also pleasantly surprised that the 773ER is flying to ORD as the first North American destination for the type. I thought that JFK would get top priority over ORD in BA for the 773ER like JFK normally does in other product/aircraft rollouts. But now with AA/BA/IB ATI, I guess ORD has more importance than ever.

I don't work for FWA, their tenants, or their ad agency. But I still love FWA.

Incorrect. The only cabins installed at Cardiff were First and Club. The aircraft was delivered with the WT and WTP cabins already installed.

They look similar to the qantas seats, although qantas have the panasonic IFE, whereas BA have gone for thales, which is a bit of an odd choice cos the industry (both long and short haul) seems set on panasonic being the best choice. At least there are widescreen tvs in economy, instead of 4:3, and I hope they get rid of the airshow version they currently have and replace it with a better flight map.

This cabin upgrade is a bit overdue. Its fine for westbound, because american airlines are stuck in the 90s when it comes to economy (even the new continental seats look crap), only delta seems to be a bit ahead with their leather seats. But for east bound, and competing with virgin, it's pretty dated in comparison to singapore and emirates. Still, it's nice to see someone care about economy passengers, even if it's still just a seat, and nothing revolutionary like the thompson product or the air new zealand (although calling that revolutionary is a bit far)

Alas, Virgin isn't much of a competitor anymore in terms of aircraft innovation.
