First seat selection, now this: Is Germanwings moving away from being an LCC?

Here is the link, sorry it is not clickable but at the moment Airliners.net seems to be broken, you can not post clickable links. Yoou'll have to paste it into your browser.

Now you can also earn award miles with our partner Germanwings

Yet another benefit has been added to our extensive selection: from now on Miles & More members can not only redeem miles with Miles & More airline partner Germanwings, but also earn valuable award miles. The mileage levels that apply for Lufthansa flights will also apply on Germanwings flights.

What is more, HON Circle Members and Senators booked on a Germanwings flight may now also enter the Lufthansa Business and Senator Lounges corresponding to their respective status.

Flying with Germanwings between 1 and
30 September 2010, will also make an impact on your mileage account. During this promotional period you can earn double award miles on all Germanwings flights.

While I like the fact that I can use the lounge on a 4U flight now, I always liked their redemption scheme on Boomerang. Too bad if it is discontinued.

Where have all the tri-jets gone...

I would be curious if Germanwings will move away from their high density A319's and go with something a bit more sensible as a result of this. I know they have a rather large presense at STR and would love to see them used to connect LH traffic throughout Europe.
