Previously they had served Kolkata back in the 50's and Karachi till 94.

This has been in the pipeline for years now, so lets hope that it finally gets launched.
What I find to be the most interesting about this article, is that thay are skipping the planned BKK stop. I assume they did not get the approval to fly pax between DEL and BKK. But I'd rather see a 3 weekly nonstop than a daily onestop.
(A side note is that the inbound-tourism figure in the article is incorrect.)

Wasn't there a time where they were even thinking about flying to KTM, as an extension of an India flight (when I heard it was New Delhi). I remember rumors were very strong, and even showed a PR office opening up in Kathmandu.
