Looking at the Fall schedule at AS/QX, it appears there are some significant schedule changes, some of which I find pretty interesting. (I'm not sure when exactly these changes take effect):
LAX-LAP - Goes from a CRJ-700 to a Q400, which this flight is 836 miles long, making it an easy 3 hours on a Q400.
LAX-LTO - Also goes to a Q400
LAX-MEX - As reported earlier, goes to 2x daily, with the 2nd daily interestingly being a red-eye (departs 2330, arrives 0458), like LAX-GDL now is.
PDX-SFO - AS mainline returns as 1 QX flight is replaced by 737-400
SEA-ANC - Appears to be seeing some cuts from Sept. (18x daily) to Nov. (12x daily), is this a typical seasonal adjustment?
SEA-BOI - 1x QX flight being cut
SEA-GEG - 1x AS flight being cut
SEA-OAK - 1x AS flight is replaced by a QX CRJ-700
SEA-YVR - The QX flight that was being cut as part of the August schedule cuts is back
These are just the ones I found, I'm sure there are more. Supposedly there are equipment adjustments all over the network. It'll be really interesting to see what happens after January, once the all-CPA model goes into effect. I anticipate we may see more of QX filling in for AS in non-peak times on routes like SEA-SJC/SMF/BUR, but we'll see.
I'm happy to see AS mainline return on PDX-SFO, hopefully that'll be a success enough to warrant additional AS flying from PDX-Bay Area in the near future.
