Based on timetable covers, Pan Am's "jet age" look with the "meatball" tail logo was introduced with their June 1, 1957 timetable. Interestingly, their last (of 26) DC-7Cs was also delivered in June 1957...

Were any of Pan Am's DC-7Cs delivered from Douglas in the 1957 "jet age" livery (pictured below)? If so, how many?

Were all...or most...or only a few...of Pan Am's DC-7Cs delivered in the pre-1957 livery re-painted in the "jet age" livery?

As far as I know, none of the DC-7Cs were delivered in the new livery. Photo below in 1958 at LHR shows Pan Am's 2nd last DC-7C, delivered May 1957.

I may be wrong, but it has always been my understanding that Pan Am didn't repaint any of their older types in the new livery until after their first 707 went into service in October 1958.
