Delta Airlines Website flight schedules have been updated showing that the 777's will infact be in service until 11-30. A friend of mine bought a ticket and it stated that the equipment was a Boeing 777-200, he is due to leave 11-15.

That's good. I want to see Delta keep the 777 longer.

Is Delta keeping their 777's now that they've reached an agreement? Or are they still going to get rid of them?

Jeff

The Pilots Have reached a tentative agreement, but this still has to be voted on by all pilots. A Delta 737 Pilot on this forum has reported that a large order of 777's wil be made as soon as possible to put the MD-11's out of service.

The airline does plan to keep the 777's and order more. They have 5 more due for arrival in the near future. They were unable to cancel these. The full pilot vote on the contract is to be finished by mid November. I guess they agreed to let the 777's fly until the end of November expecting the pilots to approve the $250/hr rate.

I do expect them to make a large order of 777's in the near future. However, I don't expect them to get rid of the MD-11's yet. I do wonder if they will order different versions of the 777.
