There seems to be more and more Allegiant MD-80's flying around with all blue tails in the past two months. Is a livery change in the works? One would think possibly, but their 757 has just been painted in the current livery. Why all the blue tails?

I've only seen two blue tails so far. 415NV and 416NV. Both came into service right around the time of the NCAA March Madness basketball tournament. I'm guessing the aircraft were needed in service before the full paint scheme could be applied. If you look closely you might see that they aren't white like the normal Allegiant colors but are off white that SAS used.

I did not notice the subtle changes on the 757, nor did I notice the gray on the ex-SAS birds. I will keep my eye out though. There is a rumor floating around though, a livery change maybe happening, so who knows. Time will tell!
