Hi again all, havent posted in a while.

I was checking out my Flight Aware favourite airports and noticed that DL used an MD88 to operate its ATL-FPO / FPO ATL as flight 513 & 514.

Anyone knows when this service changed to MD88 and for how much longer? Maybe seasonal for increased loads?

This flight was serviced by CRJ or ERJ before.

Thanks for ur comments.

Nice, havent had a MD class aircraft there in years. Either loads are heavier on weekends or anticipating winter/spring activity.

They used to, but I think their ATL- and BWI-FPO flights ended in the early-to-mid 2000s.

FL ended their ATL-FPO service in 2007

TWA used B717's from NYC to FPO in the early 2000's seasonally and CO used 733's for their EWR-FPO service.

I remember seeing an MD-88 right after new year's day last year. I think they have a lot of traffic going back to the US at that time of the year, and they either add in more CRJ/ERJ flights (I have seen 3 a day to Atlanta one year) or sub a CRJ with an MD-88 on the peak days.

Exciting for Freeport !
