Right now, BA is flying two flights a day between LHR and SFO.
There is a possibility of a third flight, and that could be flown using a 777-200ER.

Don't be so sure. Competition is getting tougher at SFO as United has just added an additional 767 for the summer season. If they saw enough demand, I'm sure United would have made this a 772, but they didn't. If BA creates another flight in to the bay area, I can only see them doing one of two things. Adding a 3rd daily in to SFO, but making 2 of the three flights 777 flights, or trying to gain access to a LON-SJC route, to connect with AA's growing route access out of there. Just my humble opinion though.

The LHR-SJC is a 777 service market. The Silicon Valley attracts lots of buisness passengers.
