Flew into LTN at 1700 today (15/9), surprised to see an Air Seychelles 763 taxiing: It was put on a remote stand, behind earth banks. Still there when I left at 1740.

They certainly aren't scheduled into there...Any information out there on this appearance?

Sorry, no reg...Duhhhhh!

Pretty sure Monarch do their heavy maintenance, have seen Seychelles 767s there before.

Maintenance with Thomson Airways... Been in their hanger for a while.

They do engine runs in the location you described... Sounds like it will be departing soon!

Thomson have been doing Air Seychelles 767 heavy maintenance for years.

Regards
CROSSWIND

S7-AHM was operating HM902 which isn't a usual HM flight number and this is the aircraft that usually flies to the Falklands as HM3220/1.

Thanks Crosswind - That seems exactly on the nail...I wondered about the stand!

Air Seychelles have had Thomson/Britannia do their maintenance for a number of years at LTN...

One of the few remaining airlines that still use Thomson for maintenance, use to see lots of interesting airlines visit LTN in years gone by when Monarch and Thomson had a number of airline contracts.

What other airlines visit LTN for maintenance these days?

CROSSWIND do you know if it's just the B767-300's that come for maintenance as I've seen the 300's in for maintenance before but never seen any of their 200's in!

I was at LTN yesterday evening.

It was S7-ASY (Aldabra), which I saw on 1st September as well.

Last time it taxied to the apron, unloaded some kit and was then taxied around the back.

This time it was taxied away about 1930.

I did get a couple of shots last time, and one more this time, ( all a bit dark).

Incidentally you may be interested to know that the nose of "La Belle Croele" is still at Kemble.
