Looks like Airphilexpress (2P, re-branded from Air Philippines) will begin regional flying this fall by opening up a pair of routes from the Philippines to Singapore. MNL-SIN-MNL begins on Oct 27; CEB-SIN-CEB on Dec 1. Will operate daily A320 service, and the flights are bookable now.

LCC competition heats up. For Cebu, this means another nonstop option to/from Singapore in between the full-service-priced SilkAir and the late-night-hours flights of Cebu Pacific; the Airphils flights will be daytime.

"The Cebu-Singapore service is scheduled to operate 7x weekly and will depart Cebu at 0800H, arriving in Singapore at 1135H. Flight from Singapore will then leave at 1225H and arrive in Cebu at 1555H."
