"AviasAir" Aircraft In "The Event" Pilot Episode

I didn't get too good a look at the plane, but in case any one else taped the pilot of "The Event" last night, was the plane used a B763?

Cockpit was a mix of 727 (three fire handles on the glareshield a dead giveaway) and 757/767 (brown overhead panel). I'm not sure about the cabin - I'd have to figure it was a purpose-built set. As for the exterior, I think they were going for a 767, but they didn't really get it.

Not to mention that their depiction of ATC procedures was hilariously crap. One would think the studios would be able to get people who know about that sort of thing to fact-check before they put the episode out. But oh well, it is what it is.

Frankly the whole thing smacked of the same level of special effects you see on the SyFy movie-of-the-week (e.g., how can we re-use a tired, worn theme in a brand new boring way).

Considering both networks are Universal properties this is hardly surprising.

LOST (which this show is clearly attempting to emulate) had razor sharp effects, by comparison.

LOST used a real DL L1011 in the series pilot.

CGI Aircraft without markings are really lame for a major show.
