RAK Airways To Restart Operations From 10th Oct.

From 10th October Ras Al khaimah airways will restart operations by operating 4 weekly flights to CCJ and 4 weekly flights to JED using a B737-400.

Whilst I admit they may well attract Passengers over the Hajj season RKT is not a suitable alternative to DXB or SHJ at present for most people.
From the town of Ras Al Khaimah to the Airport is a short and fairly direct route but getting to it from the South is a horrible journey and means navigating one of the most dangerous stretches of unlit road in the Emirates off the 311 or going into the town(and maybe getting lost along the way)which adds 30 or more mins onto the Journey .The Airport needs a direct safe road from the Emirates Road to have any chance at all of attracting pasengers from other Emirates.There is no public transport either.

I'll give it 2 months!
