So between March-May 2011. By then Airbus and Boeing will have announced intentions.So seems a sensible time table.

Dangerous to read too much into the article.But was leaning towards re engining rather than (larger) new build.(Perhaps looking at Bombardiers "success"?). Embraer clearly have the high ground in the existing market (90-120).With a very popular plane.Has to be a re-engine does it not?

Indeed I fear for the others really if they do. Proven (best) aircraft with new engine is a tempting offer I would say.Also keeping out of the way of A&B's market (as hinted in the article) also a shrewd moove IMHO.
