Thomas cook airlines have not been extended for their usual flying program operating for canadian affair/TS as we are told TS now have the fleet availability to operate the flights then selves I assume this helps the big uk program,

Some weeks ago , TS were supposed to have signed with a lessor (Aercap ?) for some brand new A330s on lease.
Saw somewhere that these leased A330s will not be new built planes , but used planes.
Could both these ex MX frames be these used planes , or are they 2 more units ?
Referring to ATDB they are 2 more units , and they have 4 A330s to arrive next year.
Is it the end of the road for the A310 at TS ?

If that they are indeed getting 6 332's then maybe that answers the rumour that TS was lined up already to take some of AC's 763's that will be retired when the 788 arrives. I can't see all their routes handling a 332 mind you. I would think they still need some sort of smaller aircraft so perhaps some of the 310's will be replaced by 763's.

That is the long-term plan. Most, if not all of TS A310s came to them heavily used from other carriers so those birds have a lot of cycles. TS will more likely accelerate their fleet overhaul has more A330s become available from airlines who get new factory built models.
There was talk from TS last year about their plan for the future and the possibility of an A350 or B787 order so they may streamline the fleet with brand new aircraft. But it makes sense for TS to go all A330s until they are ready to acquire new planes.
TS now has 2 A333s, but they basically have the same capacity as the A332s in their fleet. I wonder if these newly acquired A330s are going to be in the same config as well.
