DC-10 In Boeing Hangar At BFI?

So, I am driving down I-5 last night, admiring the line of 787's, when I caught a glimpse inside the hangar at BFI. I could swear I saw the tail of a DC-10 or MD-11. Anyone know what it is, and why it is in there? Also, I have noticed a Dornier 328 JET in and out of BFI a few times in the last few weeks. Any idea who's plane that is?

Thanks!

Don't know about the DC10/MD11 but IIRC the Dornier flies "regulary" Boeing employees/flight test members to the foreign flight test bases like Palmdale or Moses Lake.

Might be the World DC-10 that had a hard landing at BWI last year.
It had some nose gear damage, maybe they are now fixing it?

Perhaps the DC-10 is there for the MD-10 conversion

That one is being scrapped in BWI, written off.

Actually, it is to be used for a fire/Rescue trainer once the lease holder is finished
with it. N139WA may be at BWI for many years to come.

Boeing would not be performing conversion or non-flight test program-related maintenance work in the Flight Test Center hangar.

If there is a DC-10 present, then it's likely tasked to a flight test program in some way.

I will try to get a better look if the hangar is open tonight. It is a white tail for sure, and the engine is clear as can be on the tail, which is why I question a DC-10 or MD-11. It is not a L1011 for sure, because I could spot that tail from a mile away. It is tucked away in the south part of the hangar, and you can see it from I-5.

I saw it taxi one day, and at first thought it was a 146. Yesterday, I saw it at Clay Lacy. It is all white, with some blue and yellow stripes. I wonder who owns it. It is a nice looking bird for sure. And you hardly ever see a Dornier 328 or JET in SEA, so it is a nice addition to our skies in Seattle!
