EasyJet: Alliance In The Near Future?

Hi everyone,

I have heard several rumors that easyJet would be looking into getting in an alliance with an airline, and that the company would take a rather different turn. I have heard that AF/KLM have approached U2, as well as BA/IB group that is looking to buy a LCC to have in their group. Also Virgin remains interrested of having easyJet for a short/medium haul carrier.
An announcement is rumored to be set for november, has anyone heard anything?
As well, is a LCC Alliance possible? AirAsia/easyJet/Virgin....?

Good God !!.This would be huge news if true (It's not April 1 is it BTW?).I think with such a huge "rumour" you should really add some substance other than "I have heard"

To be honest, whilst it feels like "silly season", many within the airline feel that something is brewing so to speak. We may just all be way off the mark (it wouldn't be the first time) but there are various rumours, caveats and stories so as usual..... who knows? I've not heard the alliance rumour and maybe that has come off the back of AB and OneWorld.

The announcement rumour has also been doing the rounds aswell. Watch this space I guess.

As a side, it is looking like U2 could have allocated seating from next Spring/Summer.
