There were some a/c that were previously sold to Blue Wings. Blue Wings went bust and JetBlue was "made an offer they couldn't refuse" and 6 of the previously sold A320's are coming back into the fleet. I believe they will have the same registration number as they previously had, but the letters on the end will be different (in this case the tail number is N531JL and it probaby used to be N531JB).
Since the planes coming back into the fleet needed a new paint job (and a lot of "re-jetbluerizing" the aircraft), they slapped on a new tail design.

From the time any one of the planes arrived for "re-jetbluering", how long did it take on average to put into-service?

Change of ownership is a long procedure, mostly because of paperwork and the maintenance checks. When you add up that with the re-painting and pre-ops, you are talking weeks and even months depending on what needs to get done. I have to check on it, but I believe we have 2 or 3 already flying around with another one going through pre-ops now (or at least it was when I was at work on Thursday). Luckily since we already had these planes, we didn't have to do the full LiveTv insalls and stuff (the A320s we get need to have it installed, the E190s come from the factory with it pre-installed).
