To help fund growth till arrival of its own directly ordered aircraft, VX is in the market leasing capacity.
From a personal source I understand the terms of this lease are form 10-years.

That's nice! Hopefully this means more expansion soon. I just took my first flight on VX today (SAN-SFO) and it was great! I'm ready for them to start expanding, especially more flights from SAN

I wasn't too impressed with VX, but it was only SEA-SFO. The true test would be to fly them transcon. So I should reserve real judgement until I have the opportunity to fly them transcon.

VX is having some inspection issue's with some of the A320's in Miami, from what they have said. I believe 3016 and 3349 as Viasa posted.

First thing first will be getting their whole schedule up and running. With the start of MCO and the delay of these leased a/c they have been canceling flights in the system to operate the MCO flights.

Stored at Miami (MIA)

Is MIA a popular place to store planes, or is this unusual?

Where at MIA would these birds be parked?

Any chance these are ETOPS rated?

I know it's a long shot, but I really wish VX had service to HNL!

Three Jazeera A320s came to Boston over the early summer. They arrived with Kuwaiti registrations and left with N-registrations ending in "VA". One of our sharp-eyed Boston spotters (DD, you know who you are) alerted us to these transactions. I am surprised that this is just becoming public.

After the economy crisis and big competition from regional airlines, LLC Jazeera Airways J9 suffered a big loss and forced to reduce their routes and destinations, in addition to that they were denied from DXB to have a mini hub due to launching of Fly Dubai Airlines. This led to have more than 5 A320's relaxing at KWI tarmac for months.

Jazeera Airways started with 10 A320's then they ordered an additional 30 but I think they were cancelled so they end up with 11 aircrafts and now with 6 after leasing 5 to VX.
