Does anyone know if Virgin Atlantic has a schedule to repaint its entire fleet in the new paint scheme that was recently unveiled on their 747-400 G-VROC?

A second 747 aircraft has been repainted : G-VXLG "Ruby Tuesday" was noted on Skyliner returning to Gatwick from Manchester.

A schedule would be great - no A340 yet!

G-VAST "Ladybird" 744 also painted. Looks like the 2000 livery is getting repainted first.

By my list, leaves only two:

G-VBIG Tinker Belle
G-VTOP Virginia Plain

What does the future hold for the 744 fleet? New A330s, 787s and A380s are all inbound over the next few years.

My understanding was the 744 is due to be phased out once they have some 787 and 380's in their fleet.

G-VTOP "Virginia Plain" just headed to AMS today for heavy maintenance. My guess is it will stop at MAN on the way back for a repaint.

I believe the 744's will be in the fleet for a while to come. The LGW ones are about to go in for a refit over the next 2 years.

330's are a stopgap for the 787's.

I doubt they will actually get any A380's.

The A330s will all receive the new livery when they arrive as far as I know. The 744s will remain in the fleet for a much longer time, my guess would be be at least until the arrival of the 787-9.

Does anyone have any photos of G-VAST or G-VXLG in the new livery?

Will

I can't think of an impetus to expedite the repaint. In fact, I hope it's a slow process. I will miss the old schemes like this one:

Flickr has pictures of both G-VAST and G-VXLG with new billboard titles.

Their newest advertisement shows an A340 in the new colors:

It is just a rendering it looks like but it strongly indicates the plans for the fleet's livery future.

G-VTOP doesn't seem to be stopping off at MAN for paint....its due back at LGW today.

In the past VS have used other destinations/companies for repaints. I wonder if AMS or MNL can or will do any of the repaints during heavy Mx?

So long 701, it was nice knowing you.

That advert is brilliant, very 007! The little bit of comedy, "is that Linda", at the end is rather funny aswell.
Coupled with last years 25th Anniversary ad compaign, Virgin's PR department are realy on the ball right now.
