A question for those familair with US ops.
The US website says that 5 of 7 A332's have the new flat-bed Envoy Suite installed. It also says that these outfitted aircraft are deployed to LHR, CDG, and TLV from PHL. I'm trying to book Envoy in March, to LHR, but none of the flight options provided for the entire month offer an Envoy Suite seat map. Only the standard 2x2x2 arrangemwnt. Out of curiosity I also queried flights to CDG and TLV and couldn't find the Suite on any flight operated by an A332.
Where are these aircraft flying and on which days are they in operation?
I understand one may be used to the Caribbean.
Also, when will the A333's be uodated with the Envoy Suite? Again, according to the website, none have been upgraded so far.

When I flew US back in June, they were displaying the old seat maps until 24 hours before the flight just so they didn't get your hopes up that you'd be on a new one and then have to sub for an old one. Both flights (LHR-PHL-LHR) ended up being in the new suites and they were fab. I'd say you're fairly safe booking the LHR run. Also, the timeline for completion of the A332s is the end of November this year so all 7 should be done by next March anyway. I believe the A333s are due for completion by 2012 but someone may be better informed than me and be able to give you concrete information.
I'd say book the flight, have a great time and make sure you do a TR!

I am thinking about flying PHL-MUC (operated by an A332) in Envoy in December.
When I checked the seat map on the fares page it indeed shows a 2-2-2 configuration, but it is a little weird set-up - 5 seats on the left side, 8 in the middle and 6 on the right instead of the 3 sets of 8 that seatguru shows for the old configuration. Could that be an indication it is the new suite? Should I trust booking Envoy for that flight or is December too tight with the installation being done by the end of November? (trying the new suite is the only reason I would pick envoy). Also, has anyone flown on these new seats and how do you like them? (to me they really look like the old First Class cabin on British Airways... maybe just a little smaller space)
