To anyone's knowledge, has Sun Country picked up an MD 80s? I noticed this charter that took the BGSU football teem to Philly...

Are they going to use it strictly for charter or was it a wet lease deal?

No, they haven't picked up any MD-80's. Most likely was a sub-service for them.

It appears to have been Ryan doing subservice for them with N932RD.

I'm wondering if SY will lease any 738's from Transavia this winter?

Over on the Ryan MD-80 and back on a SY 738

so must have just needed them to cover that one trip.

I did notice that...I just thought it was interesting they used the Sun Country call sign and not just the Ryan International call sign.

Thanks guys.

Is that to cover landing and other fees?

Do the fees get assigned to the call sign company?

It's because it's a Sun Country flight. It's being operated for Sun Country by another certificated carrier, in this case Ryan, but it's a Sun Country flight.

The inbound from wherever the aircraft was to the origin of the subservice flight and the return from the destination to wherever it's going next (i.e. back to its home) will be operated under Ryan's callsign.
