Last night, I was on board United 44 from LAX-IAD. A few minutes after push back, we were still sitting on the taxiway when the captain immediately made a turn back in to the gate. The lead FA was saying to us in first class that they had to kick off a passenger. After LAPD came on board the aircraft, we could over hear her statements to the officers. Evidently the passenger did something inappropriate to the flight attendant and that was the reason for his removal.
The FA was so apologetic about this and was in tears but the entire situation seemed to be handled swiftly, smoothly and efficiently. Is there anyone else in the United world that has heard about this situation and can maybe shed some more light on to what really happened?
Cheers to UA!

Not along the same line but I can share a gate return story. I was traveling to LAS from Atlanta a while back and was sitting up front (this was DL). There were about 5 or 6 very rowdy college type kids that got on at the last minute. They were very loud and obnoxious. Immediately ordering alcohol for the pre-departure mix. The F/A could see they were already intoxicated and told them they seemed to have already had few drinks and she could offer them any non-alcoholic beverage they liked. They were cool with it at that point...until they started switching seats back and forth which started to piss off a few other F passengers and one complained. The F/A went to the flight deck and the captain came out (very nice guy) and basically said he just wants to let everyone know that the flight to Vegas is not that long and they will have plenty of opportunities to have fun and go crazy out there but he asks for everyone to listen to the F/As (everyone obviously knew who he was talking about). They settled down. We pushed from the gate and not even halfway down echo they're getting up while again all the while we are moving being stupid and silly calling each other names and swearing. The lead had enough and inter phoned the cockpit. We immediately took a turn on foxtrot and took an empty gate on E. They were met by the APD and escorted off. Needless to say the pax count dropped from 26 to 21 and was very happy with the service provided! Meal was pretty goo btw.

HNL-SFO in F on UA there was an intoxicated man traveling with his boyfriend. He went up to the front and was fooling around with the purser and another passenger and made some move or touch and the woman screamed loud enough for the front half of the jet to check to see if she was alright.
She was sitting a row ahead of the passenger who touched her and she came back to her seat clearly upset.
They were met at the gate by UA staff and spoke briefly in the jetway before the woman departed.
The guy was very quiet for the rest of the flight.
He had been drinking heavily in the RCC two hours before boarding as well.
Other than that, I was flying LAX-SFO when we pushed and didn't even leave the alley when we were tugged back into the gate with a passenger who was extremely ill.
