As a former commish at this airport, I must brag that DBQ has achieved a perfect FAA 139 report for the 20th straight year. I believe this is unrivaled. (And as a former commish, I take no credit for this record; I just claim pride for the crew at that field.) Sorry I have not been able to locate a press release or notice.

Quoting rwy04lga (Reply 1): Congratulations to both DBQ and you, who, as a former commissioner, must have made some contribution to the effort!
@rwy: Truly not; I was not seeking any kind of "reflected glory." If I had permission, I would mention the names of the folks who accomplished this. I was a total newbie when I got on the DBQ commission, and the first time I took a field tour with one of the guys and saw what they do to pick up pebbles from the field, I was floored. I am proud that we commishes and the great Dubuque business community were able to work with AA to retain to this day jet service to ORD, 150 miles away, with Cedar Rapids, Moline, and the interstate to ORD as our competition. And DBQ's north-south runway is a thing of beauty.
Thank you for your comment. This unpaid gig was way more fun for me than my real job in Dubuque.

As a recent UD alum, I congratulate DBQ! I really enjoyed my four years up in Dubuque, and the flight program and airport were really top notch. Good to hear things are going so well. Any idea about the new terminal plans that have been talked about forever?
