Didn't see a thread on FL's results yet but I figured it deserved one.

FL's net income for the quarter was $36.3 million or 22 cents per share. A good quarter but FL did miss estimates by a sizable margin. FL also reaffirmed their growth plans next year which involves taking delivery of 2 717s and 4 73Gs.

Not nearly as robust as everybody else....but a profit none the less.

Well, it certainly has less impact when their independance is nearing it's end. Still, relative to the rest, it does seem somewhat weak. Not bad, just weak.

Given the timing of the above w/respect to the pending merger w/WN; one has to wonder if these planes (I'm assuming that the 717s are former-MX/Click birds) will be painted and configured to WN's colors and specs.?

They are actually Bangkok Air birds. No one knows who will take the 25 ex-YX/MXClick 717s yet.

Guess it depends on when they receive approval from the government and both BODs set an official approval/merger date.

FL/WN should. They're perfect for a lot of WN's high-frequency routes and for developing new markets.
