you are probably right, but the message posted on the internal KL network really states weekly..likely a typo!

What does KL currently operate to YYZ during the winter? AFAIK it is a mix of A332s/744s during the winter and B772/744/MD11s during the summer. What could they upgrade to? All B744s or B744/773s?

I'm not sure, but just to get an indication:

21OCT:

KL691 74E
KL695 M11

22OCT:

KL691 744

23OCT:

KL691 74E
KL695 M11

24OCT:

KL691 744

25OCT:

KL691 744

so at the moment it's quite clear that the 747 combi, 747 full pax and MD-11 aircraft are most used on the YYZ rotation..I guess the A332 and possibly B772 are only used for specific reasons

Correct. And I checked YYZ-AMS on jan. 20 (random date), and had the 747-400 Combi and MD-11 as options. I don't see the A332 at YYZ too often, same to the 777 (but more frequently than the A332).

Daily 3 times (1 737-400, 737-700)

Quoting PHBUF (Thread starter):

FRA will see more E190s, EDI will see the 738s twice a day, SVO will be twice daily on KL.

Note that these so-called increases are comparisons between Winter 09-10 and Winter 10-11 thus it´s not always an increase compared to this Summer schedule (for example KL ha less seats on AMS-SVO than Summer 2010).

Overall very impressive increases almost across the board. Will the MD-11 ever come back to SFO?

Does anybody know what the equipment on the additional Dubai flight is? The one that leaves AMS at night and arrives at DXB around 5am. It was scheduled to be an MD-11 but recently I've seen A332s on the route instead.

Wow, on my 33st b-day  (it's 24th, not 24rd lol). But anyway, awesome that another KL a332 has arrived. Number 11 IIRC...

If my recollection is correct the 747 didn't go to DXB this Summer (wasn't it all 777 for DXB?).

KL427 usually is a 747, yesterday PHBFE flew the route. However today KL 427 indeed was an A332.

Thanks for the correction! I confused it with the MD11 fleet, that's 10 aircraft... Nice to see the a330 fleet grow. Here's hoping the a333 order comes to fruition and the fleet can grow even more...

Wow, that must have been quite a birdstrike! I suppose there's not only damage to the engine, but also the wings and/or fuselage?
