Here is the first a.net pic. Thanks!
TK received its first of 12 77Ws on Oct.14th and this is the new Y, 246 seat with 32" pitch in 3-3-3
Y+ has 63 seats with 45" pitch in 2-3-2
J has 28 seats with 78" pitch in 2-3-2 also.
You mean same 2-3-2 in Y+ and J, I think.
You know we were all surprised at "Turkish Aviation threads" followers with the 2-3-2 in J. A lie flat seat in the middle seat.
I don't think it is a first. I think MS J is 2-3-2 also on their new 77Ws.

The cabin reminds me of Austrian Airlines' 777 which also has green seats like that. I guess I'll find out in March when I hope to fly it LAX-IST.

Quoting Avianca (Reply 6): I am surprised that they have so few J seats ... on what routes they will use this baby?
Well, the thinking goes like this: "J is the new F"...
TK's J will be comparable to most F, lie flat, 78" pitch, great food and service.
and the 63 seats in Y+ will be more like a J, 45" very generous, again upgraded menu and check-in.
so not that bad.
In terms of routes;
Total 5 frames will arrive by the end of the year, another 7 by August 2011.
By then 4 x ex 9W 77Ws will be returned.
I think they start with the Asian routes, to China, Japan, BKK, HKG, then JFK, LAX. I am sure ORD, YYZ, GRU, IAD, JNB might see them from time to time. Not sure LHR will get it, since 333s will take over most of the medium haul.

Quoting The777Man (Reply 9): Yes; the first (front) Y cabin is actually 3-3-3 and the back Y cabin is 3-4-3 on Austrian.
If my memories from earlier this year serve me right, they changed to an all 3-4-3 config...however I was flying up front so I might have seen/heard it wrong

Even if this is no longer the case, why did they go for it? Seems incredibly weird to have two levels of comfort for people who have probably paid rather similar prices?!

I think the colour scheme is fine, my issue is with the headrests which are in three different shares of three different colours, so ateast 10 colours on the seats alone, plastic housing will probably add another couple of hues. Carpets, curtains and bulkhead decorations yet more. I think it just looks a bit busy, had the one with one headrest colour it would have looked quite attractive. Those greens and reds look good to me, it just there is too much going on visually.
Next flights: MAN-ORK-LHR(EI)-MAN(BD); MAN-LHR(BD)-ORK (EI); DUB-ZRH-LAX (LX) LAX-YYZ (AC) YYZ-YHZ-LHR(AC)-DUB(BD)

I like the seats, and the headrest looks just fine to me, but one thing I don't care for, although rather insignificant, is the bulkhead. It looks quite dated already in my opinion. Thanks!

Quoting 777way (Reply 7): I meant 2-3-2 in both J and Y ios unusual, normally if its 2-3-2 in J its 2-4-2 or 3-3-3 in Y.
But, as you can see from the picture, it's 3-3-3 in Y, like many 777s.

Looks completely uninspired to me. Don't like the mix / match of colors throughout. Only the Y+ cabin looked somewhat inviting.

HORRIFIC interior. What are we back in the 70's again? How can a company conceive such a monstrosity and actually put it in an airplane. Same with the Austrian pic... green carpet WTF?
Calling an illegal alien an 'undocumented immigrant' is like calling a drug dealer an unlicensed pharmacist
The newly arrived 330-300s and 77Ws have these interiors, and looks like the whole fleet will have it eventually. So far in a month;
-I have yet to hear one single person giving a positive opinion on the Y. But like I suggested just by replacing all the headrests it could be fixed easily.
-Y+ is my favorite and almost everyone likes it
-J pitch is generous, most like the color scheme, most don't like the middle seat on the 77W, but 333 is 2-2-2.

The pale blue seat fabric and the back wall make it look soviet. The colour gradient is a good idea but the colour wheel doesn't go from blue to dark blue to dark red to bright red to dark green to light green. They should have gone either progressively lighter towards the windows or towards the middle seat and/or from purple to blue to green or something lined up with the colour wheel. I can't figure out what they were trying to accomplish.
