There are three WORLD AIRWAYS DC-10s parked at FLL since about two weeks now. Does anyone on airliners.net know, what the deal is?

Thank you in advance,

I only saw two when I came in on Wednesday afternoon - one pure freighter with World Cargo titles; and one pax aircraft. The pax one had gone yesterday. I'll ask the airport management if they know.

Many cargo airlines are currently parking aircraft. The cargo market is very weak right now, so this might be a reason.

At least one World DC-10 was flying for Emery when I was at FLL a couple of months ago. If the freighters are flying for a package company, that might explain why they sit all day (and maybe move after dark).

There are a few of there (or at least there were last weekend) parked at IAH. I normally see it there in the afternoon either at or near Terminal D (International Arrivals).

There where 3 DC-10 parked at MIA 3 weeks ago
They probly moved them to FLL where the parking space is cheaper.
