They also have Ronald Regan, Raleigh, and all of the other seasonal destonations on Delta, West Palm, and Ft. Lauderdale on southwest, Frontier to Milwaukee, and La Guardia for Piedmont. It amazes me how they get it done. Right now it looks like they are just going to use A8, but I have a feeling that B6 is going to do very well at BDL, and will need more gates.

BDL has handled plenty of big snowstorms...ones where all sorts of flights trying to make it to JFK ended up landing at BDL instead. Sure it's a compact airport, and there is a master plan to tear down the B building and construct a new terminal. But for the time being, the airport works fine with overnighter airplanes being towed to remote areas, and the airlines themselves practicing efficient aircraft operations. From what I have heard, Jetblue's gates are in the new A terminal, probably the old NW one.

Will UA move over to the CO gates or vice versa? I expect that once UA/CO combines operations there will be two additional gates open. In fact, I was surprised that AA moved where they did. I had expected CO to move over and make the older concourse the *A wing.
