Hello guys,
I have just flown from EDI-LTN on G-EZKB, my first ever flight with all cabin crew and flight deck being female. When landing at LTN I noticed outside the ZB hanger a B738 in TOM colours with a red tail, who does this aircraft belong to, is it leased and why is it at LTN? I believe the Boeing was Canadian registered.

Many thanks Lee

It was in going on lease to Sunwing, so presumably in hybrid colours.

Only ever had one all female crewed flight.

I must say, the landing was quite perfect.

Out of interest, are these performed as revenue flights? There was one departing to Toronto when I was in LTN last week and it was shown on arrivals boards, along with various terminal announcements. The roll was impressively short though for a 738, so I wouldn't have thought it had anything other than fuel on board.

LOL, I have to admit I was relieved to land, even though we hit the ground with some force after bouncing twice. I am still here though so can't complain  . Thanks for you're help guys and I was meant to say outside the Monarch hanger.

Hi Lee,

Quoting l33roy94 (Thread starter):

Every Winter, Sunwing Airlines in Canada, requires extra capacity for it's peak season. As a result, it leases aircraft from the UK's charter airlines. This year, Thomson Airways are sending over eight of their Boeing 737-800 aircraft on lease to the airline.

With this in mind, I would hazard a guess that you saw G-FDZA/C-GDZA

Thank BMI! I was quite suprised with the colour scheme, this hybird livery doesn't look very attravctive. Thats not the whole point of it but I didn't like the red tail with the blue.

I believe this thread isn't sexiest, I had a brilliant flight and was just suprised that both pilots were female. I have never been flown by 2 female pilots, they were brilliant though.
