Stockton, CA has begun expanding its passenger holdroom, increasing space in anticipation of more service from Allegiant including Hawaii flights.

SCK's expansion consists of increasing the passenger holdroom area from 150 seats to 300 seats plus adding a snack bar and restrooms, services which currently are only available before security screening.

Stockton is also reporting high load factors and a new October passenger record.
SCK-LAS: 98% LF in October, 3,248 departing passengers (old record for the month was 2,145 in Oct 2006)
SCK-LGB: 85% LF in October, 1,779 departing passengers

Sounds like a precursor to G4's possible nonstop service between SCK and HNL.

I'd say the folks at SCK must have pretty strong indications that they'll get Hawaii service. Otherwise, this could be a huge waste of money.

Maybe as the economy recovers, perhaps SCK might be more successful at attracting other airlines like AS/QX, WN or some other LCC or legacy carrier.

It's interesting the AZA route didn't work for G4. Is there any chance it would ever come back?
