This can't be true! There was an earlier post saying that BA was going for the 717! Ba has already ordered the 717! Why are they getting the A320? The 717 would work perfectly for them! Oh well, I guess we will find out later who is right. Although, I thought that they were using the 717 for a 757 replacment. What are they replacing with the A318? The 737 maybe? Okay whatever.

This is a great news for Airbus and also for BA. Everybody knows that BA had to sale their getting old 737's so they choosed the A318/319/320's I'm sure also they will get in a near future the A321 to replace the 757, if you look around Europe you'll see most of the airlines flying this all family and their 757's too are getting really old ( they were one the first to be delivered! ). The 757 is mainly used in Europe so it can be replaced quite nice by the A321, look to Lufthansa, Air France, Iberia, Alitalia, Aer Lingus, Sabena, Finnair, TAP, Swissair, Austrian, they all use the 321 in they high density routes. Well BA also used the 757 to New York, I'm sure they'll replace by the 767-300ER.
BA as a nice fleet mix, medium to long-haul with 747-400, 777-200 and 767-300's, short to medium routes the A318/319/320 and of course soo the A321!
