Republic Orders More E190s For Frontier

ATW is reporting Embraer and Republic Airways Holdings finalized an order for up to 24 Embraer 190s, plus 24 options with conversion rights to E-195s, which was announced at the Farnborough International Airshow (ATW Daily News, July 23). In July, the companies stated the deal was valued at $960 million.

Six of the 24 aircraft are firm orders. The other 18 aircraft should be confirmed on or before April 15, 2011, the companies said. The 99-seat E-190AR and the 116-seat E-195AR will be operated by Republic subsidiary Frontier Airlines.
