How many non stop flights from London-NYC? LA? San Francisco? Toronto? Chicago? Miami? a day.
I was trying to book a flight to New York on the internet and there are a lot of different choices, and a wide range of prices too.

MIA-LON is four flights a day. One AA 777-200 to Heathrow, one VS 747-400 to Gatwick and two BA 747-400s* to Heathrow, I believe UA also operates one-stop service via IAD during the winter. bmi has applied for MIA-LGW and MIA-LHR services (and granted MIA-LGW, I believe). How far they will take that, I do not know. I would not be surprised to see either a third daily BA flight or a UA flight to LHR. I think SFO is 6 or 7 flights a day with United, Virgin, and British Airways, but I'm not sure. After NYC-LON, I believe LAX-LON is the next biggest market, followed most probably by San Fran-LON, Chicago-LON, Washington-LON, and Miami-LON.

*The flight is currently using two 747-200s because the two 747-400s used for the route are undergoing conversion to BA's new four-class layout, which will arrive in Miami sometime in early 2002.

According to the Port Authority's Timetable, there are 26 daily nonstop flights between New York and London, and a thrice weekly service by Kuwait Airways

Kuwait Airways does indeed fly the JFK-LHR route three times a week.

JFK
American, 6 flights daily
British Airways, 7 flights daily
United, 3 flights daily
Virgin, 3 flights daily
Air India, 1 flight daily

Newark
Continental, 3 flights daily (1 to STN, 2 to LGW)
Virgin, 2 flights daily (1 LGW, 1 LHR)
United, 1 flight daily
American, 1 flight daily
British Airways, 2 flights daily

29 Daily Flights, up to 32 when Kuwait flies it.

ContinentalEWR- If your other facts are right, then your addition is a little wrong. If Kuwait is flying on any given day then the DAILY total is 30. I dont expect that all 3 of their weekly flights fly on the same day bringing the total to 32. So the actually daily when they fly is 30. Just a little math correction there =)

If your including London's other airports, you forgot to mention BA's daily JFK-LGW on a 763ER, which is in addition to thier seven daily 747-400s on JFK-LHR.

If you've got the time, fly Icelandair. Stop over for a day or two and check out the Blue Lagoon. Volcanically warmed spa. You won't regret it.

Thanks for the info.
I guess flying directly to JFK is the cheapest. I actually flew Icelandair to Canada a few years ago. I think both Iceland and Faroe Island are very a natural and unspoiled place.
