If it's only one, then I'd guess it's a 777F.

ps: goldenstate beat me to it.

LAN Cargo currently operates 2 Boeing 777F. During the second half of 2012, LAN Cargo will incorporate two new Boeing 777F into the fleet.

LAN CARGO accelerates growth plans and incorporates 5 Boeing aircraft:

Why did they never go for the passenger T7?

Probably because they are too big for their strategy, which is high frequency long-haul, rather than high capacity, and because long-haul LAN is structured around a single type. True, they have 5 A340´s, but those were brought along due to range considerations on very specific routes, namely SCL-AKL-SYD and SCL-MAD-FRA

Long-haul on LAN is not structured around a single type. For example, LAN Ecuador's 5th B767-316ER, (HC-CJX) is reconfigured with 220 economy class seats and only 18 seats in Premium Business. Thus, LAN can now increase capacity on dense VFR routes. LAN will reconfigure 10 more B767-316ERs in this manner in order to increase capacity on strong VFR routes.

LAN Chile ordered the A320s before deciding on either the B777 or the A343. Cockpit commonality between the A340s and A320s was a major factor as well.

SCL-AKL-SYD and SCL-MAD-FRA

LA owns 4 A343s delivered during 2000-2001. Whenever the B787-9s come on-line, they will operate the above routes. However, LAN may still hold onto a couple of A343s.

Excellent! So my first ever 787 flight will probably be a FRA-MAD weekend trip! Can't wait.

I love their A343... their colours are so beautiful... I want to catch them in FRA soon.

The 787s will be deployed on various routes system-wide, (i.e. SCL-AKL-SYD, SCL-LIM-LAX, SCL-JFK, SCL-LIM-JFK, GRU-LIM-SFO, SCL-MAD, SCL-MEX, etc.). Also, the 787s will allow LAN to operate non-stop flights between South America and destinations such as BCN, CDG, FRA, LHR, MXP, NRT, SYD, etc.

The A343 also operates into CDG 3x weekly.
