AA just recently announced two new flights to European OW hubs, JFK-BUD and ORD-HEL. I was browsing through some flights to the USA ex-HEL today and found out that AA83/84, which already were loaded in AA's system, have suddendly disappeared from it?! The BUD flights are still showing ok. Is AA already canceling the service they just annonuced six weeks ago? If so, I think it definitely is a pity as there certainly is demand for another US service ex-HEL besides the HEL-JFK flight.

The flights are not cancelled, but will be re-numbered AA130/AA131 instead.

Thats interesting - AA131/132 were historically used on LHR-JFK-LHR. I always thought they would keep those flight numbers for that route (although I realise they are not currently used.

So long 701, it was nice knowing you.

It looks like AA132/131 will not be operating from early next year.. AA101 will return to the schedule and depart LHR to JFK at 10:40am.

The AA106 flight number will also be used for a JFK-LHR flight again. This was the number for the daylight JFK-LHR for many years and was the number of the first ever AA flight to arrive at LHR. Next summer it will be used for the late JFK-LHR trip.

On a different note..... why do airlines like AA change the flight numbers around???

Example...... here in GCM we had AA flt 1746 out of GCM to MIA in the morning for ages! Then they decided it should be AA 1711??? WHY!

My dream, is to fly, over the rainbow, so high!
