Was braving the wind and rain taking some pics up at LTN today and just before I left an all white 767 plopped down into the puddles. It taxied to the terminal so I gather it was operating a PAX flight.
N250MY which is formerly maxjets plane but Last I knew it was stored over in the USA. Any clue who it was running for?
Theres a Photo in the link.. thanks in advance for the help!

I thought maintenance but it was parked on 1 of the stands for the new Terminal with stairs up to the doors and service trucks around it like it was ready for boarding.

SWQ is the identifier for Swift Air out of Phoenix. They fly the Citation X and Legacy along with 737s which are mostly used on sports charters. The 767 was sitting at Sky Harbor for a while, rumored to be prepped for an overseas commercial contract.
My definition of cool ? Not trying so hard to be cool.

As far as I know it is flown by Swift Air and is available for charter.
This aircraft was supposed to have been operating last summer's Balkans Air charter flights from New York to Tirana in Albania. The deal was firm (see: here ) but I'm not sure if the flights ever went ahead, however in July Balkans Air brought legal action against Swift Air... which would suggest that something went wrong. The flights should have ended for this year if they did go ahead, and anyway a 767-200ER has definitely got the range to fly it non stop. I would say it was a private charter, or a last minute charter for another tech aircraft - although the latter is very unlikely. Thinking outside of the box, Hajj should have been ending around about the weekend, so it may have been operating a flight back into the UK.

I believe this aircraft is doing flights for Swiftair to/from Kabul via Bucharest every two weeks. The flights were due to go to Gatwick but have been moved to Luton.

A bit similar, but not worthy of it's own thread, I watched a Tu-154 go into Stansted today. (4pm) Any ideas about this one? - Also, the Dubai 744 went into STN today.. a day for some good movements no doubt.

The aircraft was at the MRO at KPAE (Paine Field) most of the summer.
I believe the maintenance event took a lot longer the originally planned, based on findings.

Glad to see that N250MY is back in the air again. Last time I saw it was at VCV with its fan blades twirling in the wind:

Extraordinary rendition flight then? Lol
The US DoD has got round to sorting out Afghanistan - my name is on a proposal to do a job for them there next year. They will pick us up in DXB apparently, so wouldn't be surprised if this is getting people to Kabul to do some sorting out in the same programme of works.

Swift Flight has a 762 that is in and out of PHX quite often. IIRC it is painted, so perhaps this is a new one? I usually end up seeing it on radar and haven't actually gotten a look at it in a while, so I'm not sure.

The title of your topic is confusing, I thought you meant an American Airlines (AA) 767. But now I see what you mean, you mean a US registered 767. I thought it meant an unscheduled diversion of an AA 763.

LOL I wish! That would be awesome.
I guess I figured the "any ideas whos" would stop that from happening sorry.
