Flight attendants from Mexicana airlines, which filed for bankruptcy in August and suspended operations, launched a sultry calendar Thursday in a bid to call attention to their own plight, according to the Associated Press.
The 2011 calendar features glossy shots of the flight attendants, clad only in bikinis and aviation shades or abbreviated uniforms, draped over propellers and striking racy poses in the cockpit, the report says.
"It occurred to me because we all needed money, and I thought that with so many pretty girls (among Mexicana's staff) there were bound to be some who'd be interested," Coral Perez, a Mexicana veteran who came up with the idea, told the
The first run of 1,000 was sold out before Thursday's launch. A second edition of 3,000 calendars — which retail for about $12, apiece — is in the works.

Too bad she actually stole the idea from VivaAerobus, which has been making racy calendars pretty much from day 1 (though not using their own F/A's admittedly)
Oh, and already there were several outraged (IMO prudish) F/A's whining about the "objectification of women". Clearly these F/A's were probably to ugly to be considered for the calendar

Didn't RG do the same thing a few years ago during their uncertain times? I seem to recall some buzz about that..

Calenders with women predate VivaAerobus by many decades so you can't say she stole the idea from them.
What is it with all the "is there a possibilty airline X will.." threads? The answer it'll is possible.

FR did this for charity once too right? I definately have no problems with what they did, having lost my job for a period during the recession I can understand their motivation. If anyone wanted to see me partially clothed on a calendar for $$ I'd do it. Although I'm pretty sure I'd stand a better chance at being paid to keep my clothes ON rather than being paid to strip down.
Give me a mile of road and I can take you a mile. Give me a mile of runway and I can show you the world.

I think Air Europa did this in the last year. The company folded with many staff being owed back pay. The cabin crew did the calender to try to raise some funds for these workers.

It was Air Comet... google the calendar and drool away. Mamma mia!

Lo and behold:
There aren't many photos out there yet. Frankly, from what I've seen, I'm not impressed. Some of them are downright fugly, then again they're not real models as VivaAerobus's calendar.

Certain women of ENRON, one that I worked for actually, appeared on Playboy. "The women of ENRON", it was called.
In the Mexicana calendar, I´ve seen some pictures and frankly, either they are the best publicity out there for photoshop or they are some edecanes they picked up in some lowly agency in downtown Mexico City.
They are good looking though, in a rather raunchy way, but they are good looking.

Indeed. After a few selections from the adult beverage cart, we'd be good to go.

Guys, this calendar says, Mexican Flight Attendants and nowhere does it say Mexicana Flight Attendantes. Frankly, some of the Mexicana Flight attendants I have seen during the years are much prettier and sexier than most of these girls.

The women I see in the pictures all look alright. Are there any examples of individual bikini pictures that can be posted?
