AA announced that TWA (Ozark/Delta/Northeast) DC-9's
will be retired by the end of the year. Last chance to fly these historic aircraft. Once flew a den-sux-pia-cmi-iad routing. Flight continued on to lga. Great time! Any other TW/OZ DC-9 memories out there?

Well,

My very first commercial jet flight was on an Ozark DC9-31, N988Z from St. Louis to Moline in 1984. unfortunately I wasto have only two more flights on Ozark in 86 right before they werer merged into TWA..I flew ORD-STL on N993Z, DC9-31 and back 2 days later on N969Z a shorty 9.......I have also flown on a few TWA DC9's (forner OZ birds)......I also have a few TWA 9s in video and audio tape...as Well as Ozark DC9s on audio tape.......I will be very sad to see the very last of Ozark taken out of the equation......It will be a sad day indeed.....Ozark is my favourite airline......It was the very first Airline that i was exposed to as a 6 yr old boy and its FH-227B was the plane that i fell in lve with....and of course Ozark was my first Jet flight...

My trip to STL in 86 was to try to photograph all of Ozarks DC9s....out of 50 i did mamnge to knock off 44.....but yes....so sad to see them go...I hope that soemone buy Ozarks first DC9-15, N970Z and paints it up in Ozark colours and puts it in a museum.....maybe on permemant display at Lambert.....

Anyway, if u ned any pics of Ozark DC9s lemme know...
