When the A300 Beluga is making deliveries, can it land at any airport to unload its cargo from the big cargo hold or can it only land at certain airports with the right equipment to unload its contents?

The Beluga can land on all runways suitable for a B777. The problem with the 4 first Belugas (STA, STB, STC, STD) is that the very specific loading/unloading cargo equipment has to be ferried first.
The number 5 Beluga (STF) has got a special fitted cargo loading equipment on board (weight: 2 tonnes, I think) and then gets its autonomy to land everywhere.

I saw one landing at LGA last Thursday 06/14/01. I was on Grand street in Brooklyn having my car serviced (approx 1pm est). The mechanic looked up an noticed it first. Truly an unusual sight for LGA, especially considering that a DL 763 is the heaviest thing operating here these days.
