Thats true.
He owns a former Qantas 707-138B since a few years. Its registered N707JT and was painted in a scheme similar to the TWA-livery of the 60s (in blue) last year.
You can find a picture on airliners.net.

Yeah thats right, he mentioned it last time he was on the show aswell. He is taking Hugh Jackman flying tommorrow on it I think, or what he said anyhow.
When he arrived in Sydney, he said that Qantas staff lined up to greet the plane (or maybe just him) as if they were welcoming home an old freind.
Wouldnt it cost sh*tloads to fly it from America to here?

A few days ago, N707JT departed BUR for LAX. Prior to this departure the plane has been parked at Avjet at BUR for at least a month and for the last 2 weeks had been missing it's #4 engine.

It couldn't have been that expensive, for John Travolta at least!
Go to ASO.com and see what some airliners are going for. There is a 1970 747-100 for only $3 million. He's probably pulling close to $20 million a flick.

Below is a link with some great details on Travolta's airline, including some info on his 707. Ever since I was a kid, I dreamed of flying on the 707, but they dropped out of US passenger service before I was old enough to buy my own ticket! It's great to see one of these marvelous aircraft in the hands of someone capable of looking after it.
