Rare inside cockpit video of Niki Lauda himself in a Lauda air B767 with PW4000.
Engine start sequence, taxi, take off and first minute of flight

I do realize that the video quality is not ideal since back then HD recording was not available. Is still hope you like the video

Very enjoyable - thanks for sharing; that's my hometown airport - Dublin! I'm trying to date the film; looks like it could be anytime up to 2002, because that's when EI got rid of the 737-400s.

I forgot the exact date, but it must have been either late 1998 or early 1999. And I thought it was in Shannon, but quite possibly Dublin! Thanks for that fact!

Yes, I thought it was SNN at first, because I know NG used to send 767s to Shannon Aerospace, but then I heard clearances to the holding point of 28 and then, of course, I saw the terminal/control tower and general layout ... definitely dear old Dublin!

Very cool video! Thank you for sharing! It's really a shame the 767's don't still wear those colors.

Very nice...it's not often you get to see a captain taking off a commercial jetliner in a polo and jeans. I'm always amazed at how routine it looks up front while in the back I still get that crazy excitement just like when I was a kid. And that's probably why I'd never last long as a pilot..I'd be banging my head with Iron Maiden blaring over the loudspeaker at volume 11.
