I just saw a BA772 leaving BHX at about 1530 and i was thinking maybe it's a divert because of the snow and then i checked flight aware and it was heading Grantley Adams International anyone got anymore info on this?

is this a charter or new route or something?

Edit:

just noticed that another B772 Left at about 10:45 this morning aswell

Thanks Russ

Yes. Your eyes were not causing you any problems. We had 2 x BA 777's into BHX yesterday (both diverts from LGW).

We also had som TOM flights divert in as well.

Many airlines are sending aircraft out from diverted airports empty to their destinations, so that they can still operate the return flights as normal in the hope that Gatwick re-opens tomorrow. In this case, the BA aircraft is flying out empty to BGI and will hopefully return as normal to Gatwick in the morning.

Thomas Cook did it slightly differently, they bused their PUJ and YYC passengers from LGW to STN and operated the flights from there, rather than simply canceling the outbounds altogether.

This went down a storm with other airline's passengers. Unfortunately they do not understand what goes into operating an aircraft!

Along similar lines, last nights flight, BA 2232 (also a 772) from BDA to London, went to LHR rather than return LGW from what I understand.
